Fashion Weeks Africa is the ultimate resource calendar of verified fashion weeks taking place on the African continent.

Working together and building the next phase of a united Association of fashion week owners and operators, FWA aims to sharpen the focus on the promotion of African design through legitimate, credible fashion weeks.

Fashion Week owners may make use of the submission form to update and confirm their events. We accept accurate, confirmed listings up to two years in advance. In order to get the Verified Event branding on your listing, and being able to make use of the mark on your website, collateral and marketing, you need to have a proven track record meeting the following criteria:

• The Fashion Week event has to have taken place for at least 5 years.
• Your designer list needs to have at least 25 designers per season.
• There needs to be a clean, no scandal history for the event.
• Credibility factor score will determine that the event is industry focussed, credible and builds local and African designers.
• At least one relationship with another platform within the continent.
• The ability to travel for one delegate from the Fashion Week to the Association’s annual meeting.

Fashion Weeks Africa is a no-cost to Fashion Week owners site to aid the promotion and networking of platforms, organisers and projects that help build, promote and develop African designers across the continent.

We do accept advertising or promoted material for our audience of approximately 1 million visitors a month. All funds will be used towards the annual meeting and online hosting and updating costs. Audited statements are available to all members who list their Fashion Week on the site.
